Sunday - Going Home
Madelyn and I got here after breakfast and we have been hanging out as a family for the morning. We were told at about 11:00 that the doctor was making his rounds. We were visited by Jeanne Irby and had a nice chat with her while we waited for the doctor. It's now 1:00 and Max was finally seen by Dr. Lucas. He said that Max is one of the fastest healers on the ward and he is ready to go home. Max got his bandage taken off and we can see his staples now. He will have those taken out by his local doctor and then we'll come back for a follow-up CT scan in 3 months. So Max's hospital stay has come to an end.
From here on out, it will be a matter of getting the rest of his body back in working order and catching up on lost school and getting back to normal. For those of you who came to visit, sent cards, notes, letters, thoughts, etc. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! I believe strongly that the ease of the surgery and Max's rapid recovery was due in large part to all the good, positive, loving energy he received and continues to receive. Many blessings back to all of you! We're going home now....
